Every once in awhile... there'll be something in your life that will somehow find its way into the utmost extreme recesses of your mind.

It sticks stubbornly like glue and refuses to budge.

Jumping into the deepest , darkest, most cavernous boroughs of your brain when you least expect it, releasing a whole host of biological neurons and chemicals inside your entire being... making you crave for it with every single breath of air, forcing you to desire it with unexplainable and incessant passion.

It stimulates exhilaration inside you. It kindles an unexplainable excitement from within. It thrills you at just the very mere notion of it.

It throbs in and out of your head, never wavering... always there for every single passing moment until you cave in and relent to its existence.

Most times, this "thing" embodies itself into the form of a woman.

Sultry, sexy, smart, sharp, bright, springy, full of sunshine and the eternal promise of happiness.

But this "object" that is currently entrenched and deeply rooted into my veins and every rousing thought isn't in the form of a beautiful, leggy and lithesome woman... oh no...

Fresh mushrooms, Angel Hair Noodles, Truffles, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Garlic.

The simplicity of the dish is what makes it magical.

It's scrumptious, luscious, delectable, mouth-wateringly full of flavor and yet surprisingly light.

You don't want three mouthfuls of this dish. You'll want bloody three plates... and more. I can't remember the last time a dish has got me so worked up.

I've been to the eatery four times in the past 5 weeks just so I can satisfy the inner gastronomic-succubus... and trust me when I say that it has been a satisfying adventure every single time.

This little piece of delightful gastro-orgasmic sorcery can be found in a charming corner cafe that is quaintly attractive with an eclectic mix of old and new.

Famous not just for its Truffle Mushroom goodness... Its other Pasta dishes are of equal standing... if not, even better to some.

Velvety, rich, and luxurious Carbonara Pasta that will unquestionably not cause Italian graves to turn- unlike its many imitators in supposed authentic eateries throughout the island.

Then there's the Seafood Aglio Olio with the freshest Prawns, Mussels and Squid with Al dente pasta that's tossed in extra virgin olive oil, garlic and mouth-wateringly yummy juices from the saltwater creatures.

If pasta isn't your thing, then you might just be tempted with its classic and signature plate of protein goodness, with a side of carbohydrates of course.

Who says Breakfast should be confined to just the mornings?

Available all day every day as long as the kitchen is still running, this cafe's most ordered plate of lip smacking AM goodness is its "ULTIMATE" aka succulent Sausages, fresh mushrooms, juicy cherry tomatoes, silky scrambled eggs, delightfully sinful bacon, baked beans and thick toast.

And don't forget that whilst you're at it, the Truffle Fries are a FREAKIN' MUST ORDER.

Oh... where are the desserts you ask?

I'm going to be completely honest and put all my cards on the table here... I'm not a sweet-tooth kinda guy, never have been and don't think I ever will be... unless, of course... the two words... "Nutella" and "Pancakes" come together hand in hand...

That's an absolutely different story altogether.

Located in the tranquil and sometimes serene community that is the Serangoon Gardens Estate, this place of beauty, known more famously by its trade name: "Chillax Massage Cafe"... It is arguably the first and perhaps also the ONLY Cafe in the region to provide tip top restaurant quality nosh that keeps most of the notes in your wallet + the digits in your bank account (i.e. it's damn worth it) AND also MASSAGE Services! (that's CLEAN with no "special service" of course)

Up on the second floor it feels like you've been transported and uprooted into an entirely different world.

The air conditioning is PERFECT. The sound of natural waterfalls and soothing music flows through your ears. The fresh enchanting air is filled with relaxing chemicals. It's like a dreamy little secret spot tucked away from the cruel blood sucking world. Promising a relaxing, restful and comfortable experience.

Look out for the Indian Lady with the very talented pair of hands that can make you purr like a kitten and scream like an overly contented little girl... all at the twist of a wrist and the thrust of a few fingers.
